Using Amethyst in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 7: Suitable for rings, pendants, earrings and beads. Durable enough for most jewellery. We like the larger stones for dressier pieces where their rich purple colour makes a strong statement. Ultrasonic cleaners are generally safe but avoid them if the stone has fractures or heavy inclusions.
