Using Spinel in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 8: Tough enough for daily wear, Spinel works brilliantly in rings and pendants where its colour and sparkle can really stand out. With such a wide range of shades, from deep reds to steely greys and vivid blues, it’s a versatile gem that can easily rival sapphire. Ultrasonic cleaning is generally fine for Spinel (as long as it is free of feathering or fractures), but if in doubt stick with warm soapy water and a soft brush.
