We have a limited collection of natural loose Alexandrite here at JQV Gemstones. Alexandrite is an extremely rare variety of chrysoberyl. The presence of chromium creates the distinctive colour-changing characteristic, unique to Alexandrite. The pieces that we have are of exceptional quality and colour. Using Alexandrite in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 8.5: Suitable for rings, pendants, earrings and all jewellery types but we would recommend set in a ring because this is a stone you want to see! Durable enough for daily wear with proper care. Ultrasonic cleaners are generally safe but avoid them if the stone has fractures or inclusions.
