Using Bloodstone in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 6.5–7: Suitable for rings, pendants, earrings and beads. Tough enough for most types of jewellery. Our high quality Bloodstone looks stunning in signets where its deep green, orange, Blue and Black colours with distinctive red flecks really stand out. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, we would suggest avoiding ultrasonic and steam cleaners, even though this stone is relatively tough, hidden inclusions or fractures can be inside the stones.

👀 Did you know? Also called Heliotrope, the name comes from the Greek helios (sun) and trepein (to turn), referring to ancient optical theories.
