Using Chrysoberyl in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 8.5: Suitable for rings, pendants and earrings. Very durable and ideal for daily wear. As it is of the same family as Alexandrite we feel Chrysoberyl should be seen and is best shown off in rings where its fine colour and brilliance can stand out! Ultrasonic cleaners are generally safe for high quality Chrysoberyl but any visible fractures or inclusions can be a real risk so we would suggest cleaning with warm soapy water and a soft brush to be safe.
