One of the UK's Best Collections of

Loose Dendritic Opal

Our loose Dendritic Opal collection is not online yet 😢 but don't worry!

We currently stock one of the UK's best collections of Dendritic Opals. Known for its milky-white appearance with dark inclusions, each piece is unique with its fern-like iron oxides branches. What it lacks for in play of colour (though some do have striking features of purple and red) it more than makes up for with its distinctive, natural patterns. Our collection features a full range of shapes and sizes, each selectively cut to suit the stone. To browse our full collection of loose Dendritic Opal, contact us or visit us in store.

Using Dendritic Opal & Agates in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 6.5–7: Suitable for rings, pendants, earrings and beads, durable enough for most jewellery styles. We love it in pendants or bold rings where the unique natural patterns can be appreciated (just make sure it is securely set and protected). Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, we would advise avoiding ultrasonic and steam cleaners due to the natural inclusions.

👀 Did you know? Despite looking like fossilised plants or moss, the branch-like patterns in dendritic opal aren’t organic; they’re actually mineral inclusions (usually manganese or iron) that grew along tiny fractures inside the stone over time.
