Using Herkimer Diamonds in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 7–7.5: More of a collectors stone, but if used in jewellery we would suggest pendants to best show off its unique natural crystal form. While durable, the sharp terminations can chip if knocked, so settings should protect the points. Ultrasonic cleaning is generally safe but avoid it if the stone has fractures or heavy inclusions, but you can't go wrong with warm soapy water and a soft brush!
