Using Indicolite Tourmaline in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 7–7.5: Suitable for rings, pendants, earrings and beads, durable enough for most jewellery when handled with care. A gorgeous gemstone that deserves to be seen in rings or pendants as the main feature where its deep blue colour can take centre stage. Best cleaned with warm soapy water and a soft brush, ultrasonic cleaning can work for very clean stones but should be avoided if there are visible fractures or inclusions.

👀 Did you know? The name Indicolite comes from the Latin indicum, meaning "indigo" but true indigo-blue specimens are among the hardest colours to find in tourmaline, luckily, we have some here at JQV!
