Using Labradorite in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 6–6.5: Suitable for pendants, earrings and beads, can be used in rings but should be well protected as it can scratch or chip. We love Labradorite in larger pieces where its play of colour, or labradorescence (yes that is a real word, and what a word!), has space to shine, like pendants or statement cabochon rings. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners as the stone can be brittle.
👀 Did you know? Labradorite was first discovered in Labrador, Canada, in the 18th century, but the most colourful material today often comes from Madagascar and Finland.
