Using Malachite in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 3.5–4: Best suited for pendants, earrings and beads. We like Malachite in signets where its bold banding makes a real statement, but care is needed both in setting & in wear as Malachite is soft and can scratch or chip easily. Clean only with a soft damp cloth, avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners as Malachite is porous and sensitive to heat and chemicals.

👀 Did you know? Malachite was one of the first green pigments used in ancient art, and ground malachite powder was even used as eyeshadow in ancient Egypt.
