Our Curated Collection of
Loose Prehnite
Our loose Prehnite collection is not online yet 😢 but don't worry!
We carry a limited collection of very nice quality loose gemstones and beads, suitable for both fine jewellery and custom design work. Prehnite is prized for its translucent, apple-green hue and smooth surface, often showing a gentle glow under light. With a hardness of 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale, Prehnite is durable enough for most jewellery pieces while still being easy to work with for cutting and setting. To browse our full collection of loose Prehnite, contact us or visit us in store.
You can also Call, Email or Whatsapp us to learn more, submit an enquiry and even order! Our expert team can advise you on stock, pricing and send high resolution images of Prehnite to suit your enquiry.

✨ We do have a small collection of Prehnite Beads available online.
Using Prehnite in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 6–6.5: Best suited for pendants, earrings and beads, can be used in rings but should be well protected as Prehnite is relatively soft. We like it in cabochons where its soft green glow can be appreciated. Clean only with warm soapy water and a soft brush, avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners completely as Prehnite is prone to inclusions (even if un-seen) and can fracture.
👀 Did you know? Prehnite was the first mineral ever named after a person, Colonel Hendrik von Prehn, who introduced it to Europe from South Africa in the late 1700s.
