Using Pyrope Garnet in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 7–7.5: Suitable for rings, pendants, earrings and beads. Durable enough for most jewellery. We like Pyrope Garnet in antique-style settings where its deep red colour pairs beautifully with yellow gold. Ultrasonic cleaning is generally safe, but if you see surface-reaching fractures or it’s in a closed-back antique mounting, stick to warm soapy water and a soft brush.
👀 Did you know? Pyrope Garnet gets its name from the Greek word "pyropos," meaning “fiery-eyed,” a reference to its vivid red colour and historical significance.
