Using Quartz in Jewellery & Care Tips | Mohs Scale 7: Suitable for rings, pendants, earrings and beads, Quartz is durable enough for daily wear across its many varieties. From Clear and Smoky to Rose, Lemon and Rutilated Quartz, it works well faceted or as cabochons. Clean Quartz is usually safe within an ultrasonic cleaner, but if the stone has inclusions or fractures it’s safer to use warm soapy water and a soft brush.
